The AIADMK-backed BJP nominee Lalitha Kumaramangalam said if she was elected she would strive to ensure security to the people, their property, improvement in public health and specific programmes for women among other things.
M Ramadoss of the PMK, an ally of the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance, said he would strive to get more power for the government, uplift of backward communities and the like.
Others who participated in the programme included S Balasubramanian (CPI(M) and Sundaramoorthy (RLD).
