Salma flaunts haute couture Hollywood actress Salma Hayek debuted Gucci couture at the opening ceremony of Cannes. The actress wore an asymmetrical deep red gown from the Italian luxury giant’s new made-to-measure line. The fashion house said in a statement that Mexican actress’ sheath, with a single beaded strap, was from the label’s exclusive Gucci Premiere line. The dress was a big hit on the red carpet.

A Gucci spokesman said the gown Hayek donned on Wednesday to the premiere of Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood was part of a capsule collection of gowns made for the label’s designer Frida Giannini by French couture ateliers. The label did not provide any further information about the gown or the new line.
