On Day 5 at Cannes, the stars lived up to this old English bridal rhyme

Carey Mulligan, Olga Sorokina
Keeping it minimal-yet-effective was Carey, in this Vionnet dress. The keyhole detailing and the centre slit make for a refreshing silhouette. Model-designer Olga, on the other hand, was as dramatic as they come. She took a huge risk in all-white, which is accentuated with a burst of colour via flowers along one lapel, but it paid off incredibly.Jessica Biel

Who else thinks Jessica’s feathery Marchesa dress is a modified version of Bjork’s infamous dress from the 2001 Academy Awards? Only the swan’s head is missing, and a snake-inspired necklace finishes the look.

Roaring in approval? We aren’t quite.

Nicole Kidman
We thought we’d be seeing a lot more of Nicole since she’s a jury member, but this is only her third appearance, and a rather good one. The Australian actor wore a blue leaf motif gown by her favourite designer, L’Wren Scott. It’s an unexpected choice, given the event in question, but we find ourselves drawn to the look.

Vidya, on the other hand, seems to be wearing the same clothes in different shades every day. Ash did look lovely in Elie Saab during her other appearance, but it’s another look we’ve grown to expect from her.
