"Pakistani authorities had informed the army last evening that due to some administrative problem, they would not be able to send the bus or receive passengers from this side on March 5, 2009," the spokesman told PTI.

He said in view of the inconvenience caused to passengers who had to travel to Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistan- occupied Kashmir today, the state government has brought the matter to the notice of the External Affairs Ministry to further take it up with its Pakistani counterparts.

The bus will now run the next Thursday, he added.

Earlier, officials had attributed blocking of the road at Chakoti on the PoK side by landslides for the cancellation of the bus service on Thursday.

Snowfall in upper reaches and intermittent rains lashed most parts of Jammu and Kashmir on both sides of the Line of Control on Wednesday and day before.

Passengers from the Indian side bound for Muzaffarabad returned home after the authorities announced cancellation of the bus service.
