A case has been registered against 40 students of the Government Middle School near Chhattarpur for holding hostage of three teachers, police said on Thursday.

A case has been registered against 40 students of the Government Middle School near Chhattarpur for holding hostage of three teachers, police said on Thursday.

The students took hostage of three lady teachers in protest against the transfer of a school teacher and demanded to cancel the transfer order, police said.

The case was registered on Wednesday night, police said. The incident had created a furore on August 25 when students of the Government Middle School took this extreme step, they said.
