The Allahabad High Court in October this year had directed the chief judicial magistrate, Baghpat, to initiate appropriate action against the guilty.

The five IPS officers against whom the case has been registered are Ashok Tyagi, Sushil Kumar Singh, P K Mishra, K Angilrasan and Kripa Shanker. Sushil Kumar is currently posted as the DIG in Jhansi.

All the IPS officers were posted as Superintendent of Police in Baghpat district between 2005-2009. During their stay they deducted an amount of Rs 15 instead of Rs 4 per month from the salary of police staff, they said.

An amount of Rs four was being deducted from the year 1998 from the salary of the police staff for development purpose.

In the year 2009, a police constable, Sushil Kumar moved the Allahabad High Court against the undue deductions.
