Cash-for-query: HC issues notice to MPs

The Madras High Court on Tuesday ordered notice to the state government in a petition seeking CBI enquiry against 11 MPs who allegedly received money for raising questions in Parliament.

A bench comprising Chief Justice AP Shah and D Murugesan asked the state government to reply to the petition within two weeks.

The petition was filed on behalf of Anti-corruption Movement, a social organisation of the city, which has sought registration of criminal case against the MPs and intiation of legal proceedings.
