“On Wednesday morning, the guards found eggs splashed on the windows, gate and notice board of the RWA office. When we checked the CCTV footage, we found three-four young men came in a Hyundai Santro at about 4.50am and threw eggs at the office. They drove out of the society without making any noise,” Sher Singh Bhati, a member of the RWA, said.

The RWA has informed the police about the incident.

“We are trying to get the number of the car. Owner of the car will be called for questioning. Egging is a crime under rules of defacement of property,” Abhishek Yadav, superintendent of police (rural), Gautam Budh Nagar, said.

Another unusual incident had occurred in August last year when a man triggered panic at Omnicron 1A society of Greater Noida after he stripped in front of women and passed lewd gestures on several occasions.

“Once he rode a bike wearing a helmet, but without any clothes. Many a times, he posed lewd gestures at the women sitting in the balconies. We haven’t seen him in the last four to five months,” Anil Singh, president of RWA Omnicron 1A society, said.

Greater Noida is less populated as compared to its neighbouring cities Noida and Ghaziabad. Many residential societies are isolated and attract people doing bizarre acts.
