CBI traps Railways engineer while accepting bribe

The Central Bureau of Investigation sleuths today trapped a senior Divisional Engineer in South Central Railways while he allegedly took a bribe of Rs 10,000.

The Central Bureau of Investigation sleuths here today trapped a senior Divisional Engineer in South Central Railways (SCR) while he allegedly took a bribe of Rs 10,000.

The accused Gopal Reddy, was trapped by CBI sleuths (Hyderabad Zone) at the Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad here, while he was allegedly taking the bribe amount from a complainant for doing official favour, a CBI officer told PTI.

"The railway official will be arrested and the case is under further investigation," the CBI officer said.
