CCTVs at Allahabad, Naini stations

With setting up of the CCTVs, the concerned officers will be able to keep an eye on any suspicious activity in the premises of the railway stations specially during Ardh Kumbh fair. The CCTVs will be installed at the entry points of the Allahabad Junction Railway Station on both the Civil Lines as well as City sides. Besides, they will also be installed at the platform ends, said a senior officer. The control room of the CCTVs will be set up at platform No 1 of the Junction station and will be monitored by personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF). Besides, a separate control room will be set up at Naini station to monitor the CCTVs installed there. Reportedly, a budget of Rs 31 lakh has been sanctioned for the CCTVs for Allahabad and Naini stations.
Presently, the work has been sanctioned for the two stations, said an officer adding that the CCTVs are also proposed for Kanpur and Aligarh stations. When contacted, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner (RPF) Sunil Kumar Singh confirmed the plans.
