The Fiza-Chand love story came a full circle on Monday when Fiza realised that Chand Mohammad (Chander Mohan) has left her forever and accused the former Haryana deputy chief minister of emotional blackmail.
Addressing a packed press conference, she read out several SMSes. “It wasn’t I; it was Chand Mohammad who was keen to begin the relationship. That’s why he would send me a continuous stream of SMSes,” she said.
Coming out openly against Chand, Fiza claimed that she was emotionally blackmailed and befooled by him. “First, you emotionally attacked somebody; then you exploited her,” she said rhetorically, adding: “How is it justified? I’m not a commodity that anybody can use and throw.”
Fiza also lamented that she doesn’t know if Chand is still going by his new name or has gone back to being Chander Mohan. “If he has become Chander Mohan again, then what about me? What will I do? If Seema Bishnoi is his wife, then who am I?” she asked.
Fiza added that despite her travails, she would not leave Islam at any cost. Boasting the support of some Muslim organisations, lawyers and women’s organisations she said. “He (Chand Mohammad) has seen one side of women not the other. I will go to any extent to get justice.”
