They were produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate Kailash Chandra by the investigating officer Sugan Singh Rathore and charges of rape, fraud and conspiracy under Sections 376, 420 and 120-b of the IPC filed against them.

Chandra admitted the police 'challan' and said he would forward it to the district judge of Ajmer for hearing.

The accused, Bablu, his mother Roshni, brother Raju and two others Sanjay and Raju alias Sahi have been in judicial custody since April 20.

In a fax message from Agra on April 18, the Japanese tourist had alleged she was raped and robbed of Rs 54,000 after being drugged by Bablu, the hotel owner's son, on April 2.

Taking cognisance of the faxed message, Rajasthan police arrested five persons and sought their police remand for interrogation. The suspects have also been paraded before the victim for identification.

The Japanese woman left Pushkar last month after recording her statement and undergoing medical examination.
