A chargesheet has been filed in a local court against six persons accused, including the mastermind Mohd Walilullah, in the Sankat Mochan temple blast case and another one related to recovery of a pressure cooker bomb from Godowlia locality here on March seven.
The district police filed the chargesheets on Tuesday before Chief Judicial Magistrate PN Srivastava.
The accused were charged under section 302, 307, 324 and 326 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3/4/5 of the Explosive Substances Act for their complicity in the Sankat Mochan temple blast and planting of a pressure cooker bomb in Godowlia area.
The investigating officials have also sought the state government's permission for prosecuting the accused persons under section 15/16 of the Prevention of Anti-social Activities Act.
The investigating teams have also submitted a list of 45 witnesses in the Sankat Mochan blast case and 18 in connection with planting of a pressure cooker bomb in Godowlia area.
The temple city was rocked by the terror attack at Sankat Mochan temple and the cantonment railway station on March seven in which at least 20 people were killed and over hundred others injured.
The police had subsequently arrested the prime accused Mohd Waliullah from Lucknow in April and following his revelations registered cases against him and his five associates, three of whom -- Mustakeem, Basheer and Shamim, all Bangladeshi nationsl -- are absconding while another accused Zubair was shot dead in a police encounter.
