The couple are to visit Egypt, Saudi Arabia and India this month on their second overseas tour.

The two-week official visit is to promote tolerance and understanding between faiths, environmental issues and youth training. In a statement, Clarence House said, "It is hoped that the visits will help to develop further close relations with these countries."

The first stop will be Cairo on March 20, where the couple will carry out engagements and visit an oasis town before laying a wreath at the Commonwealth War Grave Cemetery at El Alamein.

It will be for the first time that the Duchess will visit the site of the 1942 Second World War battle, where her father, Major Bruce Shand, was wounded and captured at El Alamein.

On March 24 the couple will travel to Saudi Arabia, where they will pursue different programmes and their visit will focus on education and training opportunities both for men and women, as well as faith issues.

But this time round, if the couple visit the city, it will be a different picture altogether.
