The flight left for Singapore this afternoon, but reported a technical fault in mid air, following which it returned and landed at around 4pm, they said.

The passengers were later flown to their destination by another aircraft, they said.

Meanwhile, there was a two hour delay in take off of a Goa bound Spice Jet flight from here after a minor scuffle between a passenger and cabin crew.

The aircraft was scheduled to depart at 3.25pm.

The scuffle broke out over the passenger's refusal to keep the hand baggage on the overhead rack on the flight. However other passengers convinced him to keep it there, the sources said.
