The Chennai Super Kings may not play a single home match at the Chidambaram Stadium. According to a source in the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), the matches are likely to be shifted to Ranchi after the Supreme Court declined to grant permission to stage matches.

"On Friday, the Supreme Court ruled on the case over a petition filed by the Chennai Corporation. The decision to shift the games will be confirmed on Saturday," said the source.

CSK are slated to play two league matches and Chepauk will also host a qualifier and eliminator match. Work is already on to shift the league matches against RCB (May 18) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (May 22)."The CSK management has asked the organising committee to go to Ranchi to work out the logistics of hosting the matches. We are going to write to the BCCI about our inability to host the playoff games, which is also likely to be hosted by Ranchi," said a TNCA official. While a BCCI official confirmed the development, IPL commissioner, Ranjib Biswal, said, "We have not yet received an official communication from the TNCA, so we will have to wait before making a comment."
