Our everyday routine consumes almost all the time. Therefore, we often fail to see the possibilities right in front of us, says Lisa Jimenez in her book Conquer Fear!

One way to break this cycle and cultivate your risk-taking ability is to rekindle your childlike awareness. To quote Jimenez, "Let yourself be amazed with life again."

The entrepreneur who starts his or her own business has a childlike outlook about the new adventure. A manager can cultivate his or her childlike thinking in the way he or she leads and motivates the team. Some parents have a sense of fun and adventure in their parenting role.

Jimenez narrates an incident from her life. Once, while she was sitting outside with her daughter, the child pointed out that there was no such thing as a baby butterfly because the caterpillar comes out of the cocoon and is an adult butterfly. It is not a baby. Absolutely true, but adults may not look upon it in this way. Children, however, look for the amazing facts of life.
