THESE DAYS people are complaining about the unusual warmth in the daytime. Warm winter clothes, which people usually wear in this time of the year, is making them sweat during the day.
The weatherman says, “True, the weather is unlike what it should be in January. The day temperature is unusually high, but it’s only a matter of a day or two for winter to get back its chill.”
The weatherman said an anti-cyclonic circulation over East UP and its adjoining areas had created this condition. In anti-cyclonic circulation, air descends instead of rising.
And this descending air gets compressed and creates warmth in combination with clear sunny days.
“Now the anti-cyclonic circulation is getting weak and may fade away totally in some hours. Then the day temperature will fall again,” he said.
