A: If you want to go when it is actually snowing, then the period from December-end to January-end is ideal. But if you want to visit when it isn’t snowing, but the snow is still visible, try the first week of February. Chail is a better option since it is more scenic. Q. I am travelling with my wife and kid who is a 1.5 yrs old. Is it safe to stay on a houseboat with kids? I am planning to stay in an A/C deluxe houseboat.
— Pradeep

A: There will be 3 (normally) other persons in the houseboat to look after you and to sail the boat. So, you can just ask them to keep an eye on your son. There are lots of open spaces, especially on the deck.
