China to attend NAM Summit

China, which has an observer status in the grouping, will be represented by Vice Foreign Minister, Yang Jiechi.

China will send a government delegation led by a Vice Foreign Minister to attend the 14th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Cuba in mid-September, it was announced on Thursday

China, which has an observer status in the grouping, will be represented by Vice Foreign Minister, Yang Jiechi, ministry spokesman Qin Gang said.

The meeting will be held in Havana from September 15 to 16. Established in 1961, the NAM groups 116 countries.
