With reference to the report Close to Hu visit, China claims Arunachal (November 14), the arrogance of the Chinese government is astounding. India must withdraw recognition of China’s claim on Tibet, which was a mistake in the first place. The government should call an all-party meet and tackle China’s claim on war footing.

The Chinese ambassador’s statement should not be taken lightly. The fact remains that we have once before been betrayed by our neighbour. At that time, the slogan Hindi-Chini bhai bhai echoed throughout the country.
