Chunkey wants to team up with Chichi for Aankhen sequel

Chunky Panday is pushing for an Aankhen sequel with Govinda. Roshmila Bhattacharya tells more.

He has been in talks with David Dhawan.

"Wouldn't it be great if we could all come up with a sequel to Aankhen?" he whoops. "I keep bumping into Govinda at parties.. we keep threatening to team up. He is back on the top."

According to the funnyman,the two best comic performances of last year were by Javed Jaffery in Dhamaal and Govinda in Partner. Whom would he give the Best Comedian Award to?

Answer: "Govinda, without any second thoughts."

Nowadays, Panday watches any Elvis Preseley DVD he can lay his hand on. He's stocking up on white jump suits, leather jackets and chains. He also intends to get himself an Elvis hair-cut and master the pelvisgrinding moves of the King of Rock n' Roll.

What's going on?

"I'm playing an alcoholic live-in lover who's a born-again Elvis in Hello Darling. It's the Apna Sapna Money Money team," trills Panday.

He has another film with Subhash Ghai's Mukta Arts. Paying Guest will be the first film to be directed by Paritosh Painter, writer of Dhamaal. The new film, inspired by Painter's popular Gujarat play, revolves around a sex change operation. Panday refuses to divulge details: "All I can say is that it's an emotional farce and I'm not playing the doctor."

Then there's Anubhav Sinha's Sankat City set in Mumbai. "It's a kind of Metro but on Mumbai's underworld. I'm playing a double role," the actor chuckles his trademark chuckle.
