This will be conveyed by the Delhi Catholic Church to Information and Broadcasting Minister PR Dasmunshi later in the day, Father Dominique Emmanuel, spokesman of the Church said in New Delhi on Thursday.

He said the DCC is not for a ban of the controversial film but wants a "clearcut disclaimer to be shown on the screen" for viewer discretion.

The film should also be given an 'A' certificate, he said.

Dasmunshi watched the film last night along with Catholic leaders and said a decision on its release in the country would be taken latest by Friday.

The Da Vinci Code, a best-selling fiction of author Dan Brown, contends that the catholic church had covered up Jesus' marriage to Mary Magdelene.
