CII on 'Opportunity India' mission

CII team along with NR Narayana Murthy, Rahul Bajaj and Jamshed J Irani will focus on investing in India.

A 16-member delegation of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) led by its President Anand Mahindra and including NR Narayana Murthy, Rahul Bajaj and Jamshed J Irani of Tata Sons Limited, is on a four-day London visit to highlight investment opportunities in India.

It is slated to share with the British corporate heads the business opportunities in the country particularly in the telecom industry, biotechnology and the rapidly changing media and entertainment industries with India now producing over 1000 films nearly 25 per cent more than Hollywood.

The interest in the economic state and policies in India is evident from the fact that all the symposiums and a question and answer session at the London Business School have no seats available.

Several high-level meetings and discussions with senior ministers and officials in economic ministries and counterparts in the Confederation of British Industry are also scheduled. "We will ,as usual, stress on investment and collaborations while giving details of the opportunities available in the rapidly improving economic scene," said a delegation member.
