The objective was to make the audience and users aware about IT solutions available with companies in the small & medium enterprises’ (SMEs) sector in business development and human resources (HR).

The bottom line of the deliberations made by representatives of Oracle Corporation, Nexstep Infotech and NeoInvenSys Solutions was that IT solutions should be taken as an investment rather than expenditure in the SME sector.

In his address, Oracle Corporation (Market Development-Mid Market), director, Ranjan Deshmukh said the company has an array of IT solutions for the sector in various segments. “Contrary to popular belief that solutions come expensive, our entry-level package is available at Rs 6,000,” he said.

Highlighting barriers to effectiveness of modern HR, Nexstep Infotech’s business development manager, Vinayak Naik said HR fails to convince top management about the outcomes. Emphasising on incorporating best HR practices in the SME sector, he said products help in getting powerful MIS vis-à-vis saving time and cost of the company.

In his welcome address, CII (Bhopal Zonal Council), chairman, Subhash Vithaldas highlighted the importance of IT solutions in the SME sector.
