The city got respite from heavy rains on Tuesday morning, with the rail, road and air services back on normal course.

The city got respite from heavy rains on Tuesday morning, with the rail, road and air services back on normal course.

The rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours at Colaba in South Mumbai is 17.6 mm and in Santa Cruz (suburb) is 63.4 mm, the Indian Meteorological Department said.

Suburban train services as well as flights from the international airport are on schedule and no traffic snarl-ups have been reported.

According to the Met department, there is possibility of heavy rains alongwith gusty winds and thundershowers in parts of city and its suburbs.

The department also warned fishermen from venturing into the sea due to expected rough conditions.
