HECTIC PREPARATIONS are on to accord a tumultuous welcome to Uma Bharti’s Janadesh Yatra as it enters the City tomorrow. Uma Bharti supporter Inder Prajapat, who is monitoring the preparations, said that there is enthusiasm among the leader’s supporters in the City and she would be accorded a historic welcome.
Thousands of people would gather to welcome the expelled leader’s Janadesh Yatra, which will end on April 30 at Chitrakoot with the formation of a new political party.
As per Uma’s schedule, she would reach Indore by Nizamuddin-Indore Inter-city Express at around noon. She would meet people at Residency Kothi till 5 in the evening.
At 5 pm, Uma would reach Bada Ganpati from where the leader would be escorted in a rally to the venue of public meeting near Rajwada. All along the Yatra route, the sanyasin-turned-politician would be welcomed by local residents and supporters. The public meeting is expected to begin at around 7 pm, Prajapat said.
Prajapat said the main attraction of the Yatra would be the 1000-strong women band of Uma supporters who would all be clad in saffron saris.
