Re-polling was ordered by the state election commission following vandalising and damaging of EVM machines allegedly by some goons.

On complaint by election duty officer Vishwanath Bansal, police lodged FIR against Congress candidate Tabassum, her husband Irfan and 200 others for obstructing public servants from discharge of duty, and dacoity. Tabassum, her husband Irfan and 9 others were arrested and sent to jail by police on November 29.

Polling was held in 20 places of five districts including Gwalior (5), Bhind (5), Morena (5), Datia (2) and Shivpuri (3) for Nagar Palika and Nagar Parishad and one corporator/mayoral seat under GMC.

People voted with more enthusiasm as compared to the first phase of polling which took place on November 28.
