While speaking on the occasion, DIG Atri congratulated the people of the area, particularly the office bearers of the Civil Defence for having the new setup. He detailed the role of the CD in the event of any disaster and stressed upon its functionaries to work with missionary zeal during the disasters as well as peace as its sole aim was "nish kaam seva".

The DIG further said that measures were being taken to complete the setup at the earliest. He assured the Reasi civil defence unit (CDU) that the demands put forth by the office bearers would be projected before the authorities concerned for their early fulfilment. He further said that special attention would be paid towards Reasi district owing to its religious and historical importance.

Reasi chief warden Rakesh Wazir hailed the organisation's step for establishing a CDU in Reasi.
