So how is Kolkata?
Great. So long I only got to hear about this place from friends. I am excited to try some Bengali cuisine. I have been to Mumbai and Goa. I hope to taste some sweets here. Yes…yes… you get to taste a lot of sweet dishes here. Oh really (laughs). I must ask my producer Sumit Dutta for that.

How did you land up in Tollywood?
I have already done two films in India — Karma and an Indo-German production called Ki Jana Pardes. Sumit watched Karma and he came up with the offer.

And how were you spotted for Karma?
The producer and I met on chat. One day he offered me the film.

Is it a wise decision for a European actor to do Indian films?
(Smiles). It’s not because getting roles was tough. I have already done a couple of films there and released my first music CD. But after working in Karma, I somehow fell in love with Indian cinema. Commercially, Bollywood is second only to Hollywood. I am also planning to learn Hindi and Bengali.

You are also singing in this film. What’s your first love?
I always wanted to be an actor. But I have also been a good singer since my childhood when I used to sing for the church choir.

In India young people know you more as Playboy magazine model?
See, I don’t believe in the concept of ‘sex bomb’. That was a different profession. Now I am here to act. I don’t want to sell myself on that.
