Pande, who works with Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam, said the pilot and co-pilot were on board during the landing.

Rescue operations in the flood-ravaged Uttarakhand have already seen two chopper crashes.

On Tuesday, all 20 rescuers on board an IAF Mi-17 chopper were killed after it crashed in Kedarnath valley.

On June 21, a private helicopter carrying relief materials to Rudraprayag district had crashed near Gaurikund, leaving the pilot injured.

Army Chief General Bikram Singh said that Army will continue rescue work until the last person is evacuated from the valley.

Meanwhile, fog in the upper valley held up air rescue operations.
