CM assures help to women SHGs

CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that thrift and credit groups of women entrepreneurs would be promoted and the products of their self-help groups would be provided better marketing facilities.

CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that thrift and credit groups of women entrepreneurs would be promoted and the products of their self-help groups would be provided better marketing facilities.

Singh was addressing a convention of at least 650 saving and credit groups of women of Bhopal district at Bhopal Haat today.

These groups have been associated with Bhopal district community development committees. The convention was organised by the Bhopal district urban development agency.

Singh said that the collective strength of women finds manifestation in their saving and credit groups. He said that women’s self-help groups are doing commendable works for achieving economic self-reliance.

Chouhan said that the self-help groups and saving groups of women would be assigned micro activities like distribution of supplementary diet, canteen operation, Sanchi parlour operation etc.

He appreciated the task of cleanliness maintenance in hospitals by some groups. Finance Minister Raghavji and Urban Administration Minister Jayant Malaiya were also present on the occasion. District Collector Sanjay Kumar Shukla presented memento to the Chief Minister.
