CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday dared the former chief minister Digvijay Singh to contest the Budhni by-election against him. Speaking in Vidhan Sabha on the demands concerning the departments held by him, Chouhan said he was unable to understand why ‘Bua’ (leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi) and others were haunted by the ghost of Budhni.

He said, “I went to Raghogarh. I could not demolish the fortress there but created a chink in it through which Laxman Bhaiya (Digvijay Singh’s younger brother Laxman Singh who joined BJP) got out.” He was referring to the Assembly election he contested against Digvijay Singh in 2003.
Chouhan said he would not like to name him (Digvijay Singh) but if he was so concerned about Budhni, he was welcome to face him in by-election.
