Hundreds of employees and officers who gathered outside Mantralaya with the hope of some positive announcements from Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan were disappointed on Saturday when he did not make any such announcement. In his half hour speech, Chief Minister dwelt on different ways of improving work culture in the larger interest of the state so that benefits of schemes could reach the downtrodden.

He was addressing a felicitation function organized by various unions and association of the state government employees here.
Employees listened to his address with the hope that Chief Minister would make some announcements at the end. However, their hopes were shattered when he said, “Government is seriously looking into the demands of state employees and positive decision would be taken”.
This concluding remarks of Chief Minister disheartened large number of officials and employees of Mantralaya, Vindhyachal and Satpura, who came with the hope that Chief Minister might make announcement on hike in dearness allowance and other demands of the employees.
Even the employee leaders who had earlier showered praise on the Chief Minister looked disappointed. They however pacified the employees by saying that the demands would be resolved soon.

{{/usCountry}}He desired them to bring the administration closer to the people and continue dialogues with the government. Chief Minister candidly admitted that the rift between the Government and people had widened in last 56 years.
“Successive governments remained engaged in framing policies. No one bothered about implementation of these schemes as a result of which beneficiaries of these schemes usually remained deprived of desired benefits,” he said.
Describing the role of employees as of paramount importance in reconstruction of the society and faster development of the state, he said that positive attitude could make a difference in governance.
He urged the employees to work with dedication and ensure effective implementation of the people-centric policies and welfare programmes. Chief Minister sought cooperation of employees for corruption free and efficient administration. He said that there should be transparency from top to bottom in the administration.
Employees felicitated Shivraj Singh on the occasion of golden jubilee year celebrations of the state. Minister for Public Health Engineering Rampal Singh, Minister for Animal Husbandry Ramakant Tiwari, Minister for Labour Jadgish Devda, Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahani were present on the occasion.
President of Mantralaya Karmachari Sangh Shiv Singh Tomar welcomed the Chief Minister. Various representatives of employees’ unions also accorded a warm welcome Chouhan. Mementos were presented to him and other guests.
