CHIEF MINISTER Mulayam Singh has instituted a CID inquiry into the Nehru Enclave imbroglio. Issuing an order to this effect on Tuesday, the CM has asked the investigating agency to inquire as to who all grabbed flats in the colony and why. Secretary Housing KL Meena had informed Yadav how property worth crores of rupees of the LDA was lying undisposed because of the presence of illegal occupants in the Enclave. HT Lucknow Live, which had taken up the issue as a campaign on the complaint of the colony’s residents’ had exposed the property racket that was being run by unscruplous ‘babus’ of the property section of the LDA in the housing scheme.
