A bench of Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan and Justice D K Jain dismissed Chauhan’s plea on the ground that there was no merit in his arguments.
The dismissal of the SLP means that hearing on the election petition filed by Patel before the Jabalpur bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court will now resume.
