This programme was launched from January 26 in Balaghat and Raisen on an experimental basis. Besides, grievance redressal camps would be organised regularly at block and district levels.

In his Republic Day message after taking salute of an attractive Republic Day parade at Jhabua, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said sensitive governance, free from corruption and prejudices was the top priority.

Chouhan said a unique Shramdan campaign would be launched to transform development initiatives into a mass movement by encouraging voluntary contribution of physical labour in development works. The Chief Minister’s Republic Day message was read out by members of the Council of Ministers and Collectors at the district headquarters today.

In his message, Chief Minister said the Deendayal Antyodaya Mission would be implemented for integrated welfare and rehabilitation of the destitute, poorest persons and destitute girls. A scheme for marriage of daughters of poorest families would be implemented as part of mission.

He said 18 districts would be covered by the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS). All Government primary school would have their own building by next year and 48,000 new teachers were being recruited, he added.
