CM re-allocates Babus portfolios in Chhattisgarh

Sate government has issued orders on re-allocation of various departments affecting as many as eight senior IAS officials, reports Ejaz Kaiser.

In the wake of additional chief secretary Shivraj Singh being appointed as Chhattisgarh chief secretary on Wednesday, the state government has issued orders on re-allocation of various departments affecting as many as eight senior IAS officials.

According to the order, the additional chief secretary Home, Transport & Aviation BKS Ray has now been posted as the Director-General Academy of Administration along with the additional charge of Chairman Board of Secondary Education and Professional Examination Board.

Principal Secretary Home & Environment, PWD, P Joy Omen has been given the charge of Commerce and Industries along with Housing and Environment.

Similarly, T Radhakrishnan will officiate as Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture and Commissioner Culture and Archeology. He will also be a coordinator for women welfare programmes.

Principal Secretary Forest, Serzius Minj has been posted as commissioner Agriculture Production along with his previous charge of Forest.

SV Prabhat will be Principal Secretary Home, Jail, Transport and Aviation.

Secretary MK Raut has been given the charge of PWD. Raut will continue to hold the charge of ST/SC Development.

BL Thakur will be secretary Minerals Resources and managing director Chhattisgarh state antavyavsai vitt vikas nigam, besides continue to hold his previous position of commissioner Tribal Development and coordinator rehabilitation of those affected by Salwa Judum.
