CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan released a report on World Population census 2006 at his official residence today. The report was also released simultaneously from all important centres of the world.
Women migrants is the main subject of the report released by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). UNFPA State coordinator Dayakrishna Mangal said of all the international migrants almost half are women and their contribution in different fields have now been accepted. It also examines the monetary help by working women to their country, family and community. Further, topics of human trafficking and exploitation of domestic workers have also been included in this report.
A special seminar will be organised in the United Nations at New York on September 14 and 15 to recognise the contribution of women migrants towards development, protection of human rights and discuss their needs and ways to reduce poverty amongst women.
The discussion will take place amongst representatives of all countries at New York on international migration and development.
The report also dwells on challenges faced by women migrants in foreign lands and their contribution towards economic development of their native as well as adopted country. The report also contains detailed conditions of all young migrants comprising large women migrants.
