JAN MORCHA convener Vinod Singh said here on Saturday that Chief Minister Mulayam Singh was shaken after the launch of the Morcha. He was commenting on Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav’s attack on former Prime Minister VP Singh for launching the front under the leadership of suspended SP MP.
He said that Yadav had targeted VP Singh because the SP was fishing in troubled waters. Briefing newsmen here on Saturday about the Morcha’s rally to be held on May 30, Singh said, Yadav’s comment that VP Singh was ‘dhongi (fake)’ resulted from his (Yadav’s) frustration. Claiming that the Jan Morcha had been fighting against the State Government and not against any individual, Singh said –criminals were ruling the roost.
He said instead of protecting the interest of farmers, the government had been doling out largess to capitalists. Morcha’s pamphlet, posing six questions to the State Government, also caused a stir in the SP. The pamphlet, carrying the picture of VP Singh Babbar, ridiculed the SP’s claim of creating ‘Uttam Pradesh’.
