Once a haunt of foodies at the neighbouring Indrapastha Hotel (the former Ashok Yatri Niwas), it has lost much of its original glory after moving to its current address, following the government's decision to sell Indraprastha to the Eros Group. But having introduced appam to the vocabulary of the Delhiite, it has ensured the quality of its appams and the stew (chicken, mutton and vegetarian) served along with them. Chicken Chettinand is another best-seller. You'll definitely get good service here, because there aren't many customers around to keep the waiters busy. Which is a pity, because the food is good.
