Code of conduct for HCBA poll out

NO CANDIDATE contesting the election for the Allahabad High Court Bar Association will be allowed to paste posters on the walls of the High Court. Nor will he/she be permitted to distribute handbills or any other election material on the High Court premises.

Nor will he/she be permitted to distribute handbills or any other election material on the High Court premises.

Announcing the code of conduct for the High Court Bar association (HCBA) election on March 2, the returning officers warned that if a candidate was found violating the code, his/her candidature would be cancelled forthwith.

No candidate shall take out any procession in the corridors of the High Court.

No candidate shall shout slogans or permit his supporters to shout slogans and speak loudly on the premises of the High Court.

Chief returning officer Haider Hussain and his associates PK Singh, RK Ojha and MC Chaturvedi directed the candidates to ensure that even while canvassing outside the court premises, dignity of the legal profession shall be maintained.

The code of conduct has also prohibited distribution of handbills, pamphlets and other such materialsm on the premises of the High Court.
