There was some respite from the cold wave conditions in Uttar Pradesh with the minimum temperature registering some increase but still remaining below normal.

Four more people died of cold in the state since last night taking the toll this season to 149.

The lowest temperature of five degrees was recorded at Agra and Sultanpur which was five degrees below normal, MET office sources said in Lucknow.
The minimum temperature hovered around four to six degrees below normal at several places in the state, they said.
Meanwhile, four people died of cold in Barabanki, Kushinagar, Deoria and Ballia district since Friday.
