College management draws flak

THE LUCKNOW University (LU) Associated College Teachers? Association (LUACTA) has alleged that the management of Nari Shiksha Niketan Degree College is harassing teachers. The teachers? body dubbed the college management ?unconstitutional? and charged it with putting up hurdles when it came to payment of teachers.

THE LUCKNOW University (LU) Associated College Teachers’ Association (LUACTA) has alleged that the management of Nari Shiksha Niketan Degree College is harassing teachers. The teachers’ body dubbed the college management “unconstitutional” and charged it with putting up hurdles when it came to payment of teachers.

They said the college management was overlooking orders of the director, higher education, and was engaged in fraudulent activities.

They demanded dissolution of the present college management and threatened to launch a massive agitation if the college management did not mend its ways.

LUACTA president Moulindu and general secretary Dr JN Shukla said college manager Anil Agarwal was a teacher at a degree college in Unnao, but he spent most of his time in the principal’s office at Nari Shiksha Niketan.

They alleged senior teacher Damini Mehrotra had resigned from the post of acting principal due to Agarwal’s pressure.

However, the college manager refuted most of the allegations leveled by Lucknow University Associated College Teachers’ Association office- bearers.
He said the allegations were baseless.
