HOSTS MADHYA Pradesh boys and girls showed their class to win their respective matches on the inaugural day today of 15th Boys and 8th Girls All-India Atya-Patya competition organised by Madhya Pradesh Atya-Patya Association at Chiman Bag grounds.
Earlier Indore SP Adarsh Katiyar inaugurated the tournament while Bank of India Regional Manager Ramesh Chandra Khurana presided over the function.
The other results of the matches played on the first day are: Boys: Madhya Pradesh beat Uttar Pradesh 59-37, Pondichery beat Andhra Pradesh 24-23, Kerala beat Chandigarh 25-19, Uttaranchal beat Himachal Pradesh 29-20, Maharashtra beat Punjab 29-23, Karnataka beat Uttaranchal 18-17, Rajasthan beat Chhattisgarh 37-27 and Pondichery beat Chandigarh by 25-08.
In the girls’ matches: Hosts Madhya Pradesh defeated Chandigarh 18-15, Punjab beat Himachal Pradesh by 20-18, Andhra Pradesh beat Rajasthan 41-23, Uttaranchal lost to Uttar Pradesh 21-23 and Chhattisgarh defeated Uttaranchal 35-23, respectively.
Earlier, the guests were welcomed by Association’s Deepak Joshi, Rajesh Goud, Rajendra Shukla, Shekhar Kibe and the programme was conducted by Narendra Bhale.
