Columnist suffers from 'Indian bias'

Though a veteran journalist, PK Balachandran has an unavoidable "Indian bias" in all his writings about the Eelam Tamil issues. PKB claims Balasingham's statements as a ploy to get the Sri Lankan state and the global community to blindly accept the LTTE's demands. This certainly is a preposterous Indian disfiguration of the Tamil leadership.

Unless the Tamil issue is settled while Balasingham is around, it would end up in a bloody bargain was a statement made by the astute and scholar-politician, the late Dr AHM Hammeed who was Premadasa's chief negotiator from the government's side in 1989-90.

PKB claims this as a ploy to get the Sri Lankan state and the international community to blindly accept the LTTE's demands. This certainly is a preposterous Indian disfiguration of the Tamil leadership.

Even the most respected Sri Lankan political scientist AJ Wilson believed that in retrospect, Pirabakaran has always proved right in his decisions and those who write the history of Tamil Eelam toward the end of the 21st century will consider the Pirabaharan-Balasingham duo as unique politico-military intellectuals in contemporary South Asian history.
