Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday said people should compare the work done by the Congress and BJP governments in Rajasthan and then decide who is better.
Addressing a rally in Sikar, Gandhi said, “Compare their (BJP’s) work with ours. The truth will reveal itself.” Criticising the BJP, she said, “When they (BJP) were in power, what did they do? Did they provide free medicines?”
“Rajasthan, which was a backward state at the time of independence, has become a pioneer state in social security due to efforts of the Congress,” she added. Without naming BJP leader Vasundhara Raje, Gandhi criticised her for being absent for five years and for making baseless and misleading allegations against the government. Gandhi highlighted the UPA’s schemes like RTI, MGNREGA, and food security.
