BHARATIYA JANATA Party MP Yogi Adityanath has issued two weeks’ ultimatum to the Uttar Pradesh Bridge Corporation to complete the construction of an over-bridge in Dharmshala Bazar.
Adityanath made an on-the- spot inspection of the over-bridge and expressed displeasure over the slow pace of work. He alleged that the apathetic attitude of the State Government was delaying the construction.
He directed deputy director Arun Kumar to complete the work at any cost within two weeks or face dire consequences.
According to sources, Kumar said bad weather had affected the pace of work, but he would try to complete the work within the time given.
Adityanath blamed the State Government for creating hindrances in the construction work, adding that residents were facing hardships due to delay in construction. He directed the officials to complete the work by the end of January.
It should be noted that construction of the bridge was started to divert the flow of traffic from the main market.
