Condemn all kinds of terrorism

The lead and investigation so far seem to lead to some connections but don?t you think it is too early to point finger at and blame people without solid evidence vis-a-vis Mumbai? Terrorists are terrorists ? those who have attacked the parliament, Bangalore, Varanasi and those who have demolished the Babri Masjid and killed and burnt alive the people in Gujarat 2002. Let us not be selective in condemning and resisting terrorism.

Media across the country is carrying out news and stories of terrorist attack in Mumbai. All of us condemn the act by whomsoever it has been done. The lead and investigation so far seem to lead to some connections but don’t you think it is too early to point finger at and blame people without solid evidence?

People are agitated and rightly so with such brutal acts of terrorism which terrorise people. We must not forget that as we point finger at others we must realise that there are terrorists within in our own country and SIMI may not be the only group.

The 1992 Babri Masjid demolition, the Gujarat carnage where hundred of Muslims were massacred are all acts of terrorism. The terrorists of these acts are known to us and we, the civil society, the government, the police do nothing about them.

Terrorists are terrorists – those who have attacked the parliament, attack in Bangalore, Varanasi and those who have demolished the Babri Masjid and killed and burnt alive the people in Gujarat 2002. Some of the terrorists and their associates have used draconian POTA in Gujarat to put many innocent Muslim young men behind bars and allowing the culprits in Gujarat go free.
