The combined cut-off list on DU’s official website showed 90% in economics (hons) and 76% in life sciences for for Khalsa College. But the list on the Khalsa College website showed 97% in economics and 86.33% in life sciences.

Aspirants and parents lined up at the college on the first day of admissions on Tuesday, only to find out the mismatch between the lists on the DU website and the college notice board.

“I was expecting to get admission in economics (H) course in Khalsa College after I saw the cut off at 90% on the DU website. After coming so far with confidence, I wasdisappointed as the cut-off displayed here is 97%,” said Bhavna Vaish, who came from Roorkee and scored 94.75% in the boards.

Parents were equally upset. “I was happy to see that my daughter’s marks met the cut-off published on the DU website, and that too in Khalsa College. But when we came here we found that the marks were different and this escalated our anxiety,” said Nagendra Kumar Jha, a parent of an aspirant.
